What do the best leaders have in common? They engage others in delivering outstanding results. They take bold and incisive decisions from a deep sense of conviction and purpose. They lead while staying true to who they are.
Authentic leaders win the confidence, trust and support of people in their organisation. They engage through their congruence, energy and understanding of others. They involve and empower their people. They are able to learn from their experience and from others at all levels.
I coach executives and up-and-coming professionals to become authentic leaders.
Coaching provides a challenging and stimulating space for clients to discover more about themselves and build on their innate strengths. It can also be a rare opportunity to take time out to think through challenges and develop new approaches.
I help clients uncover their unique reasons for wanting to lead and their deeply held personal values. I also help them work within their particular context, including knowing when to challenge and when to adapt to the system.
We might go on to work at the interpersonal level. For many clients, it’s important to realise how others see them and to learn how to manage that perception. There are often big gains from discovering how to bring out the best in others through ‘quiet leadership’.
Or we might work strategically on how to make change stick based on an understanding of the organisation as an interconnected system.
My leadership coaching is underpinned by the latest research into the qualities of effective leaders and many years’ experience coaching ambitious businesspeople to make an impact.
